WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU SEE US

Clinical treatment for sleep requires a thorough look into your medical background. Prior to your appointment, we will ask you to complete a questionnaire detailing your:

  • Prior medical history
  • Sleep-related habits before, during, and after sleep
  • Current sleep schedule
  • Daytime symptoms and lifestyle

Dr. Sepulveda factors in all these elements while preparing your treatment plan. A home sleep test (HSAT) or an attended sleep study might be a part of your initial assessment. The doctor will provide you with initial goals to pursue. This evaluation can be shared with your referring physician or medical care provider(s) if desired.

Your treatment plan may consist of a combination of:

  • Home Sleep Apnea Testing
  • Attended sleep studies
  • Behavioral Therapy for insomnia (CBTi)
  • Pharmacotherapy for sleep disorders
  • Bright light therapy
  • Positional therapy
  • Oral appliance therapy
  • Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP/BPAP) treatment and compliance management
  • Upper airway stimulation therapy
  • Surgery recommendations
  • Other alternative therapy for pediatric and adult sleep disorders

As you progress through the program you will meet regularly with the doctor to review your successes, find opportunities for improvement, and to revise your treatment plan.
